A "Stadium Aura Band", Los Angeles based act Solarcade
is securing a permanent position in America's music elite by writing
beautiful, simple songs that gently pull at the heartstrings of
a nation. The band is known for their signature sound and lyrics
while mixing American rock with a strong Brit pop foundation. Somewhere
in between the confident, illustrative guitar playing of Pomilla,
the harmonious bassline of Jonathan Hill, radiant drumming of Heath
Cooley, and lead Paul Van's sheer, tenor vocals are answers for
the soul.
During times of severe conservatism and extreme depravity, and as
a kids listening to U2, the band realized their worlds were small
and they needed to look outside of their hometowns of Houston, states
of Arizona, and countries of South Africa. Solarcade challenges
their fans to become more curious about the outside world, question
their government, not be pacified by media entertainment, and fabricated
pop icons.
Solarcade's non-profit work shows the first signs of dedication
and politicization within the band that coincides with their commercial
resonance. Van's lyrics on "She" symbolizes the prevailing
amorality of our modern society and questions its inherited ethics.
Solarcade can only be summed up with one word: Songs. The songs
make a strong statement and challenge the listener to "wake
up and act". If one is looking for an artist that follows standards
then look elsewhere. If one is seeking an artist that who raises
the bar and sets the standard, then this is Solarcade
