Song Title:
"If I Had A Rock Band"
(By RPM)

"Foolproof, and hit-oriented ticket to superstardom with her own kind of noise!"

Wielding her vintage 1960 Les Paul Junior, and armed with a voice born to disarm the most skeptical listeners, RPM effectively transcends gender stereotypes with music that doesn’t wallow in “PMS-propelled subject matter.” Growing up on a steady diet of Guns & Roses, Motley Crue, Metallica, and Zeppelin, RPM identified more with wailing guitars than “coffee shop playing, acoustic guitar-strumming, typical female singer-songwriter shit.”

RPM would much rather use her airtime to cover more relevant topics. She tells the suicidal friend to “go ahead and jump” and tries to sway the average person to “be anyone else but you.” She challenges you to explain hypocritical religion stating, “If I’m going to hell so are you” while realizing that her viewpoints make some people “insist that [she’s] blacklisted.”

This is rock-influenced pop like you’ve never heard it. Self-proclaimed as the “patron saint of aggravation,” RPM’s blatant irreverence sets her apart from all of the other artists in mainstream music.

Born in Kentucky and raised in Virginia, RPM grew up in a politically conservative Catholic family. Studying classical voice, piano and flute at a young age, she quickly tired of the polite side of music. Later majoring in Musical Theatre RPM “was unfulfilled singing other peoples words.” Finally, after receiving a degree concentrating in Epic Literature from NYU, she was frustrated with the lack of expression she felt within the confines of social conformity.

RPM combines the inspiration she derived from the world’s most renowned writers, and the melodic sensibility she absorbed from such greats as Sondheim, with her irrepressible sense of rebellion to create pop/rock music that goes for the jugular - but grips the mind.
